The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Whitehouse Services Restaurant is where you pull in, fill up, and pray you don’t have to stop anywhere else on your way to Cornwall. The food is more than just fuel — it’s heaping helpings of comfort with a side of ‘oh wow, this isn’t bad for a service stop.’ You’ve got homemade soup that'll make you forget your troubles, chips that could probably win awards, and hot chocolate that’s basically a hug in a mug.
But let’s not ignore the elephant in the room: the service can be hit or miss, with one lucky guest scoring a lovely interaction and others getting less-than-pleasant treatment. And don’t get me started on the £3.75 for two slices of toast — if that’s not highway robbery, I don’t know what is. Still, if you’re stuck on the road, it might be just what you need.
