The food's genuinely great and the hygiene issues are "Improvement Necessary" — not catastrophic. Worth a punt if you're not a germaphobe.
Platform Refreshments is one of those places where you roll the dice on food quality, but the atmosphere and service are usually on point. The views of the Mersey are nice, and you might just find yourself enjoying a good meal if you’re lucky. The roast trio of meat is a popular choice, but beware if you're a picky eater—some dishes have had their fair share of complaints, like dry pork ribs.
The prices can be a bit steep for what you get, so be prepared to fork out some cash if you decide to take the plunge. While there’s a lot of potential here, it’s a bit of a gamble on food quality. Great for a drink with a view, but you might want to skip the heavy hitters on the menu.
