π 39 CHEPSTOW PLACE, LONDON, W2 4TS
Tier Achieved:
Amazing food. Hygiene score you can forgive.
The food slaps and hygiene is "Good" β not perfect, but nothing to worry about. Go for it.
Assaggi Restaurant is a charming little spot in Notting Hill that serves up Italian dishes with a side of elegance. The grilled seabass is the star of the show, while the burrata and tuna tartare make for a solid start. Sure, the prices are a bit on the high sideβyouβre in Notting Hill after allβbut if youβre celebrating something, this place does the trick. Brendan Smith noted how the upstairs was like a serene hideaway, perfect for a date or avoiding rowdy crowds.
The staff are friendly and attentive, and if you want that Italian flair, youβll find plenty of it here. Mariia Iakovenko called it the best Italian in London, so you know itβs got a solid reputation. Just be prepared for a fish-heavy menu, as Gabriele Antonini pointed out, but honestly, who doesnβt love a good seafood dish? Just remember to bring your walletβthis isnβt your average Tuesday night dinner spot.
"The food was excellent but with a preponderance of fish."
"I had an amazing fresh grilled seabass."
"This neighbourhood local is an absolute gem."
