🏠 ST JOHNS CHURCH SMITH SQUARE, LONDON, SW1P 3HA
Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Footstool is nestled in the crypt of St John’s Smith Square, and while it has a 5-star hygiene rating, it seems to have a case of mid-range mediocrity. The ambiance is lovely, and the cakes are decent, but you’re not going to write home about the food. Julia W enjoys the charming setting and the gluten-free options, but other reviews hint at a lack of excitement on the menu.
If you’re near Parliament and need a quick coffee or bite, it’s a pleasant enough stop, but you’re not exactly experiencing culinary fireworks. You get the vibe that it’s more about the location than the food, so manage your expectations accordingly. It’s fine, but just fine. ☕
