Franco Manca feels like the pizza place that wants to be a celebrity but ends up as a familiar face. The pizzas are solid, with a truffle-mushroom option that had my taste buds singing for joy, yet there’s an undercurrent of ‘meh’ from servers who sometimes seem too busy counting tips instead of checking in. The ambiance is cheery enough, making it a decent spot for a casual meal.

The true stars here are the ingredients, where freshness shines through every bite. But with some staff having an off day, it can feel as if you’re rolling the dice. Great food, but don’t expect Michelin treatment.
