Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Golden Union is the fish and chips haven you never knew you needed. Andrew Bell and his GF were all about that cod life, and it didn’t disappoint. The fish was crispy and the chips were on point, but some thought the atmosphere could be a bit cramped. Lanre was practically singing praises about the tartar sauce – if it’s good enough to win over the toughest critics, you know it’s a winner. But don’t expect a five-star dining experience; it’s fish and chips, not fine dining. It ticks all the boxes for a solid meal but could benefit from a bit more breathing space. Overall, if you’re in the mood for classic British fare, Golden Union won’t steer you wrong.
"Super tasty! I had the haddock... my GF the cod"
