Nell Gwynne Tavern is the type of pub that feels like it’s been preserved in time—charming, cozy, and a bit quirky. You’ll find cask ales and mulled wine here that could make even the grumpiest of drinkers crack a smile. The staff, especially the blonde bartender Ella, are known for their excellent service, adding an extra layer of fun to your night out. Just be prepared for the charm of the place to be a bit marred by the occasional rude encounter.
Overall, it’s pretty solid for a pint and a bite, and the chipotle sausage roll should not be missed. Just try to keep your expectations in check when it comes to the occasional staff hiccup—this place still has a lot of heart.
