Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
The Prince Of Wales Public House has all the classic pub vibes for tourists and locals alike. They've been serving pints since 1852, but don't get too excited; they flipped buildings faster than their menu changes. If you're lucky, you might catch a show before hitting the West End. Marcus loved their steak and ale pie, and Vicky thinks Herman the barman is a legend for serving drinks with a side of banter. Just don’t expect culinary fireworks; it’s a pub, not a Michelin star restaurant.
The atmosphere is friendly and buzzing, perfect for after-work pints or pre-theatre bites. Alison hosted a heartfelt gathering there, and the staff treated her well, which seems to be a trend. It’s all good until you realize all the main dishes seem to have a secret ingredient: onions. If that doesn't bother you, it’s a safe bet to drop by and soak in the pub culture—but keep your expectations in check.
"This is a proper pub - the kind you should visit."
