Tier Achieved:
Clean. Reliable. Does the job.
The "lights out missionary" of food. Spotless kitchen, decent grub. Won't blow your mind, won't disappoint.
Riding House Cafe is like that friend who always shows up but doesn’t always bring the best snacks. Their traditional English breakfast is a solid choice, but let's not pretend it’s changing the world. Valeri was chuffed with the service and even shouted out Kristina, who must have some magic charm because everyone loves her. The deep dish pancakes are massive and soft, but if you’re after something fresh, the corn fritters on beetroot hummus might leave you feeling a bit let down. The decor is nice, but it seems they’ve got a fast pass for getting food out, which can mean it’s not always freshly made.
The vibes are trendy, but the food can be hit or miss; sometimes it’s delicious, and other times it’s a bit too sweet for comfort. If you’re in the area and want a quick bite, it’s not a disaster, but lower your expectations a pinch. Just be ready for a long wait if you’re hoping for brunch on a busy day.
"I was absolutely delighted — both by the food and, even more, by the service."
"The whole fish was delicious and my colleagues had the schnitzel."
"These deep dish pancakes should be called just 'cake' haha huge and soft!"
