Ah, Wagamama. The fast-food equivalent of pan-Asian dining. You know what you’re getting, and if you’re expecting culinary fireworks, prepare for a damp squib. It’s clean and tidy, and the kids' menu is a hit, but let’s be honest—the food sometimes tastes like it was made by someone who just learnt how to use a spice rack.
Take the chicken katsu: it’s like a hug from a friend that you just can’t quite remember. Not to mention the service can be quicker than your last relationship’s flame out—unless it’s a busy night, then you might be waiting longer than you’d like. If you’re after something fast and not entirely offensive, you’re in the right place.
